Cooling management

Toyesi Chillers

What Is Cooling management?

An aquaculture chiller is a specialised cooling system designed to maintain a stable and optimal water temperature for aquatic species in fish farms, hatcheries, and aquaculture systems. These chillers regulate the temperature of water to suit the specific needs of different species, whether it’s fish, shellfish, or other aquatic organisms.

How They Operate

Aquaculture chillers work by removing heat from the water and expelling it into the surrounding environment. They use a refrigeration cycle, similar to air conditioning systems, which involves compressing and expanding refrigerants to absorb heat and lower the temperature of the water. Water is pumped through the chiller unit, where it passes over cold coils or heat exchangers. As the water flows over these cool surfaces, heat is transferred from the water to the refrigerant. The refrigerant then carries the heat away, cooling the water before it is returned to the aquaculture system. Depending on the system, the heat can be dissipated through air-cooled or water-cooled mechanisms, ensuring the water temperature remains consistent and controlled.
